With our first full year under our belt, we are able to run some statistics
on the effectiveness of our program and even we are amazed at the
results. To date, we have served nearly 400 men and their families.
Of the men who have completed Phase I of our program, 31% are
sober today. Here’s the amazing one…100% of the men who have
completed the entire 8 month program are still sober. We realize that
we have only been in operation for about 16 months now, but these
numbers are amazing nonetheless. They help us to see that we are
certainly on the right track and our program is blessed.
We are currently receiving referrals from Rosary Hall, Stella Maris, The
Cleveland Clinic, Harbor Light, Windsor/Laurelwood, Cuyahoga
County Probation and several other municipalities. Our clients have
come from everywhere from Youngstown to Toledo thanks to the
outstanding reputation that we have been able to build.
Plans for the coming year include the hiring of new staff members.
Currently, we have only one paid staff member, and we would like to
increase that to two or three by year’s end to accommodate our
increase in client base. We have also begun searching for an
additional location to house even more men as we are operating at
capacity.
Cost of treatment at our facility is merely $500/month…a fraction of
traditional treatment. If anyone in your circle is in need of help for
alcohol or drug addiction, please know that our doors are open and
hope is alive at the Absolute House.
Our facility is sustained solely from private sector support and receives
no government funding. Should your or your organization like to make
an investment in the welfare of the less fortunate in our community, tax
